PERSONAL DELIVERIES AT RECEPTION
While management recognizes that it is convenient for staff to have parcels delivered during office hours, please note that the staff at Reception cannot be expected to keep parcels (sometimes for days) until it is convenient for staff to pick them up. There is no secure facility to keep parcels safe at Reception. In addition, parcels stack up over time, making the Reception area look messy and unprofessional. This is also true for personal items being dropped at Reception by family, friends and students.
Staff members are, therefore, requested to pick up parcels delivered to Reception when these are delivered, and not simply as soon as it is convenient to do so. If staff members cannot pick up the delivery on arrival, they have to arrange with a colleague to do so.
If the situation concerning parcels left at Reception for days on end does not improve drastically, the matter will be reconsidered.
